La Mamola is in the Costa Tropical, almost directly south from Granada on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea with its long beach and is close to 3 golf courses. The rental properties vary from apartments and village houses with some villas making for a great alround holiday.
This pretty sleepy town, which was once a fishing village has approximately 800 inhabitants, which increases only slightly in the summer months.
There are around 8 beach restaurants and bars, a street market on Thursday's, supermarkets, bank, post office, bakers, fish market, doctors and chemist. La Mamola is approximately 3 km long with a beach stretching nearly the whole length of the village. The sea is very clean, safe and extremely blue, with a climate of sunshine for virtually the whole year.
La Mamola has very little traffic, virtually no parking problems, no pollution and crime is almost non existent. Dolphins are sited here regularly coming quite close to the bay, adding another facet to this beautiful village
The region is called Costa Tropical as the temperature doesn't often fall below 18c in the winter or rise above 28c in the summer. The surrounding countryside is ideal for farming and most of Europe’s vegetables are grown here in the winter along with tropical fruits such as mangoes, melons, bananas, and many more.
