Spanish Taxes
The Spanish tax system is complicated to say the least, and much of it completely different from the system used in the United Kingdom.

Capital gains tax, wealth tax and income tax can all be applicable to non Spanish residence if they own a property in Spain, and will certainly be applicable to Spanish residence who own property, and Spanish property, even if it is your main residence, is not tax exempt when you sell it.  All property sales in Spain are liable for capital gains tax!

Many different taxes effect the employment market too, whether you are employed, self employed or are an employer there are a whole variety of taxes that are applicable.  Buying or selling a car also incurs quite a large tax which varies according to the value of the vehicle.

No matter what you are planning to do in Spain, it is always advisable to seek out good advice from an accountant who understands Spanish laws and taxes before making any decisions that may cost you a lot of money in the future.
