 Whether you are a tourist, student or a resident, and regardless of age, there are many educational opporutnities for you and your family throughout the Granada region and along the Costa Tropical coastline.
After the heat of the summer, with the cooler autumn months and the start of the childrens school year, many of us start thinking about brushing up on our language skills and enroll on a Spanish course. There are many excellent teaching establishments throughout the region catering for all levels from real beginners to advanced students. Many places offer one to one teaching or if you prefer you can join a class, where learning can often be fun, and interesting by working along side other students. Courses vary in price and are dependent on many  things it is always best to check what expenses are involved before enrolling on your course. There are also a wide range of correspondence and audio courses for those who only spend part of their time in Spain which allows you to keep improving your Spanish language skills whilst living elsewhere. However you choose to learn, and at what ever level you are at, speaking another language is certainly a wonderful thing to be able to do.
However it is not just the Spansh language that is taught all over the Granada region. Classes can be found in all manner of things from art to bird watching, flamenco dancing to yoga. You can choose from single lessons to residential courses, and again most establishments cater for all levels of student and all types of experience.
Guided tours are an excellent way to see this area while learning more about local flora, fauna, culture, architecture and modern society. Many towns and villages have ancient castles and gardens and just about all of them have wonderful old churches to explore.
