There are three regional airports that service the Costa Tropical de Granada, Almeria, Granada and Malaga.
Almeria Airport
Almeria airport is to the east of the region and approximately 90 minutes drive from Motril. This is currently a small friendly airport, and it normally very quick to check in, rent a car etc. Past passport control there is a cafeteria and duty free shop.

Granada Airport
Granada is to the north of the region and is approximately 50 minutes from the costal towns of Salobreña and Motril. A small airport where there are rarely any delays when you check in, or with baggage collection. However not all car rental companies are based within the airport and it may be necessary to catch a mini bus to their offices. Check prior to booking your car what exactly the collection arrangements are.

Malaga Airport
Malaga airport is to the west and now with the latest opening of the new motorway is only approximately 1 hour from Motril. This is a large international airport with excellent facilities.
