Loro Sexi Bird Park, Almunecar  Loro Sexi Ornithological Park is home to around 1500 exotic birds from 200 different species which are on display in this popular bird park that entertains visitors of all ages and is a firm favorite with children. Opened in 1987, the Loro Sexi bird park has a fascinating selection of birds including parrots, tucans, cockatoos, swans, duck, peacocks and even ostriches. The bird park is bustling with life and there is always plenty to see and hear!  Pine-shaded walkways climb the lower slopes of the hill as far as the foot of the castle walls, leading to more caged areas displaying exotic birds and a cactus garden. In summer the park holds regular parrot shows for the children. Enquire at the bird park or in the nearby tourist office for details. The entrance to the Loro Sexi Bird Park is in Calle Bikini, leading off the Plaza de Abderramán on the beachfront below the castle. Opening Times 11.00-14.00 and 16.00-18.00 (winter)
