The apartment is on a brand new complex on Motril´s Playa Granada. Motril has several beaches, this one is truly peaceful. There is easy access to neighbouring beach, Playa Poniente, Motril town and neighbouring town, Salobreña and its beaches. There is a local supermarket nearby as well as a hypermarket. The area offers plenty of beach bars and restaurants, one of the nicest being at the golf club, “Los Moriscos” which offers lots of entertainment in the summer and great food year round. Each neighbouring town, whether on the coast or inland, has its own cultural heritage and character and a visit to the city of Granada is a must. The area is particularly beautiful due to its fertility, sea and mountain vistas and sub-tropical climate and offers a variety of beach and other activities.

LOCAL INFORMATION

Steeped in history Salobreña dates back to the 10th century.  With an ancient Moorish castle built 105m above the sea level Salobreña is a town where the old meets the new.  The old town built underneath the castle is a labyrinth of pretty narrow streets, with white washed houses decorated with colourful floral displays.  The new part of the town has wide well landscaped roads, with a variety of houses and apartments.

It benefits from a long, wide beach where water sports can be found.  Conditions for snorkelling and diving are excellent with a recently built reef off the Peñon rock encouraging vast arrays of sealife.

A mixture of old and new bars, all offering fantastic free tapas with each drink, and restaurants offering an assortment of cuisine can be located throughout Salobreña town together with shops and supermarkets to cater for your every need.

Deep sea fishing, mountain  biking, walking tours, golf and many other activities can be found close by.
