Costa Tropical and Granada Golf |
 Unlike the neighbouring costas of the Costa del Sol and Costa Almeria, the Costa Tropical and Granada region are rather a well kept secret when it comes to golf and the fantastic golf courses that can be found in this region. Serviced by 3 airports, Malaga, Almeria and Granada and with a growing motorway network, the golf courses on the Costa Tropical and Granada region are a perfect desination for a short golfing break or a longer holiday.
Within the region there are 4 golf courses, Los Moriscos which is situated on the Mediterraen coast line between the coastal towns of Salobreña and Motril. Santa Clara, which lies just to the north of the lush and fertile Lecrin Valley, and is only a 30 minute drive from the coast. The new and challenging Medina Elvira that can the found to the north of Granada City and last but not least Granada Club to the south west of Granada.
Just a short car journey away you can also find golf courses in Roquetas del Mar (Costa Almeria) and Velez Malaga (Costa del Sol). Many of these courses offer excellent bar and restaurant services and for the more energenic gymnasiums and health centres can also be found within the complex.
Local accommodation is varied and plentiful, with everything from villas with private swimming pools to apartments built within a golf course complex. The golf courses situated close to the city of Granada benefit from the rich and active life of one of the most famous and visited cities in Europe, whilst Los Moriscos on the coast is between the lively, busy town of Motril and the quiet relaxed pueblo of Salobreña, which you could say means Los Moriscos has access to the best of both worlds.
