Throughout the beautiful, and relatively unknown Costa Tropical, Lecrin Valley and Granada region, from the crystal clear waters of La Herradura which is a scuba divers haven, to the peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountain ski resort you will find a wealth of adventure holidays and activities to take part in.

The Costa Tropical and Granada region offers some of the best opportunities in the world to experience a wide range of adventure sports. With its mountainous terrain and spectacular countryside the Costa Tropical and Granada region is without doubt, one of the richest Spanish locations in terms of its flora and fauna and is a bird watchers paradise with many organised tours available.

Explore the hills and mountains on a pony trekking or mountain bike excursion, walk through the unchanged countryside on either a guided or self guided hiking tour, or maybe experience everything from the clear blue skies above in a hot air balloon ride or micro light flite.

Paragliding, abseiling, climbing and canyon descents can be found in a number of locations, although it is recommended that all these adventure activities are booked in advance of your holiday.

Unlike the neighbouring Costa del Sol, Costa Tropical is less known for its golf courses, however these virtually undiscovered and uncrowded golf courses are sprinkled all over the area and will put the most experienced golfer to the test.  With 320 days of sunshine on average a year, and the Sierra Nevada mountain range as a back drop, who could resist a game of golf on the Costa Tropical.

Along this coast line you will find a number of marinas the two largest can be found at Motril and Marina del Este, where boat hire, fishing excursions and sailing are available. Water parks and water sports can also be found at many of the coastal towns.

For the more artistic traveller, painting and other creative activity holidays can be booked in many locations.  Day courses or week long vacations are offered.
